Dr. Rhonda M. Lawson Joins Creators’ Rights Movement as Author Advocate, Named
Publicist for Literacy Code Book Tour

WASHINGTON, Jan. 10, 2026 — Award-winning author, literary strategist, and literacy
advocate Dr. Rhonda M. Lawson has joined the Creators’ Rights Movement as an author
advocate, expanding her long-standing work at the intersection of literacy, education, and
creator protection.

Through her involvement with CRM, Lawson will educate authors on copyright law and
intellectual property ownership through her weekly YouTube show, Horizons Author Lounge,
which airs Mondays at 7 p.m. ET, as well as through nationwide public appearances and literary
events, beginning with her 10th Annual Black History Month Literary Weekend in New
Orleans, Feb. 19–21.

“As an author, former journalist, and book coach, I’ve seen how powerful the written word can
be and how vulnerable creators are when their rights aren’t protected,” Lawson said. “Literacy
isn’t just about learning to read; it’s about honoring and protecting the voices behind the work.
Educating authors about their rights is essential to preserving our stories and culture and
leaving a legacy for our families.”

The Creators’ Rights Movement is a national advocacy organization working to modernize
copyright laws, secure fair compensation, and ensure long-term ownership rights for creators.
Supporters are encouraged to learn more about the movement and sign the petition calling for
updated copyright protections.

Lawson is the publicist for the upcoming Literacy Code Book Tour, an initiative designed to
promote literacy, elevate authors, and spark national dialogue around creative ownership and
access to education. She is also the founder of Meet the World Image Solutions, a boutique
publicity and literary services firm established in 2017. The company specializes in amplifying
authors, artists, and cultural initiatives through strategic media campaigns and curated literary
experiences.
